Podcast SummaryAn actor's life must have balance - balance in the life management side and balance in the professional development side. Without this understanding and the proper skills, an actor's life can seem like a struggle instead of a success. In 2006 after more than a decade of professional successes as an actor/director/producer, I was asked to develop an intensive program to focus the careers of both new and seasoned actors both on and off Broadway. This class would take aspiring and experienced actors into the same sessions, and build a solid foundation between them - using the passion of those new to the craft and the experience of those who had "lived the dream" to fuel each other through their mutual process. Acting For Your Life! was born. In a professional, honest, and supportive environment actors polish their strengths and build in areas where higher choices can be made. By honing in on each actor's "why" and solidifying the skills and foundation from which their talent flows, Acting For Your Life! teaches the whole actor - not just the product at face value. The craft of the actor has long been seen as an intangible mystery, the secrets of the profession only given select venues to those whose ambitions were divine. Through this program, actors of all levels of passion and respect can participate in the communion of creation in an effort to strengthen the bond between the daily roles of artist and collaborator. I look forward to sharing your journey with you - now get out there and break some legs!
